Welcome to Grade One!

Information to smooth the start of the year.

From first graders just mastering their prayers to twelfth graders trying to prepare for life beyond high school, St. Margaret Parish Religious Education Program draws on the experience of over 60 volunteers in bringing our children to a faith-filled relationship with God, through the love of Jesus, guided by the Holy Spirit.

You're welcome to come and join us!

First Graders are beginning our sacramental preparation program for First Reconciliation and First Communion.  We introduce them to the basics of Catholicism through thoughtful lessons and prayer.

To help smooth the opening days of our program we have moved the beginning day of First Grade sessions to the week of October 14. This will give us time to register the First Graders, hold Orientation, and help the Catechists prepare.

Orientation is considered CRITICAL to understand the preparation needed for Reconciliation and Communion. It will also give you an idea of the years to come after Communion as the children go on to prepare for Confirmation. It will be held on October 6 at 8:45 am or 7:15 pm on October 9.  We will meet in the Parish Hall attached to the School.

We use the Sadlier series for the base of our sessions.  We use the texts for the wonderful pictures and to review information.  We strive to make the sessions as hands-on as we can.  If you would like to review our series please use this link.  Click on Grade 1.
